Summary of options (anyone else can comment).

1    Scrap top scorer prize and run goals for pontoon instead - votes Y-4 (2 choice 1, 1 choice 2, 1 choice 3), N-1
2    Goals `for' + goals `against' with new name and higher target score - votes Y-3 (2 choice 1, 1 choice 2), N-2
3    2 separate competition - goals for and goals against - votes Y - 1 (choice 3), N - 4
4    4 pontoons, 2 goal for and 2 goals against - Y-4 (1 choice 1, 2 choice 2, 1 choice 3), N-1

Option 3 is already out. Option 1 leads the way. This option would allow a bigger pot and should commence at week 1.

Committee please use this instead of email.

...........and another thing, option 1 would definately allow a 3rd place for month (I am being swayed  Undecided) which I am definately in favour of.

for option 1 would the pontoon cycle round until the end of the season... like we have on the test page or would it be limited to 3 or 4 pontoons and so end before season end??

even though I'm a 'bottom of the league kind of guy' and may well benefit from goals against pontoon unless I get my act together next season Wink I am not that sure about option 4. Promoting goals against (effectively targeting loosers) as a pontoon seems a negative way to encourage fun for all?

It looks like option 1 will be the chosen one anyway so I dont think we need to worry about option 4. I think we should get 4 pontoons in starting at week 1. If you put the start week choice and maximum no of pontoons in the backend we can limit it so we dont start one say 3 weeks from the end.

I wouldn't think it mattered if a pontoon started 3-4 four weeks from the end. If someone manages to get 21 goals in 3-4 weeks I think they deserve a cut of the prize(!!!?!), if they don't get there then no prize is awarded for that pontoon. Imagine getting to 14pts in 3 weeks... (possible) then you want that rare 7 goal victory in the last week! And it keeps the interest to the end of the season?

Very close indeed, option 1 winning because of the no of choice 1's (both option 1 and 4 had 4 votes each).
Therefore the top scorer prize will be scrapped and replaced with the pontoon game commencing at week 1. The extra funds from the top scorer will be split between the pot for the pontoon and a 3rd place for the month. The pontoons will end and commence the following week and will continue to the end of the season.
