Well thats another season over. Our 2nd season on-line and the first with the new rules. I think it has gone very well and of course I am delighted to have gained my 3rd success (even if it was shared with Mr Frost). Please no conspiracy theorists, with our committee would not let me get away with anything. Mr Bushell run us very close and for a quite a while it looked like one of the newcomers (Phil Hall or Tim McFarlane) would come and take the title. With a years experience under their belts I expect a very stern challenge from them next season.

Of the 40 competitors, 13 of you made a profit or broke even. As you would expect those winning the monthly prizes were up near the top but Wayne Moody was runner up in the cup and finished 32nd and also took a share of a top scorer prize. Paul O'Brien and Gavin Kelly in 24th and 25th had a runner up prize in a monthly competition and Phil/John Kelly in 18th won a month. Simon Waller even won £10 as a top scorer one month and he finished bottom overall.
Craig Frost had 3 monthly wins (2 with the joint team) and 3 plus a share in the top scorer prizes. Rob Bushell had a monthly win, a cup win and a runner up as well as runner up overall. Stevie G representing the Union Tavern had a cup win and a monthly win. Ian Cowburn had amonthly win and a cup runner up.
16 finished out of the prizes altogether, highest placed being Paul Gerrard in 21st.
John/Phil Kelly was the lowest placed competitor in 18th to make a profit on the season.
Tim Mcfarlane was the unluckiest of players finishing 5th overall but not managing a monthly prize.

Just 2 spot on this year, young Gerrards and committee member Graham Highton.
I was just one out for 4 competitors. Rob Bushell and Paul Leech (both for the 2nd year running!) and others in the top half include newcomer Andrea Howard and Stevie G.
Just 2 out for a further 2 competitors - Dan Owen (after spot on last year) and Lynne Stokoe.
I did pretty well with most of the top 10 and many of the bottom 12. Top 2 were disastrous, Ryan Moody underperformed after previously doing well and Tim Owen has never finished as low as that. Perhaps a combination of his age and added skill factor has cost him this season. Champion Colin Rigby also had a disappointing campaign in mid table (again the curse of the former champion strikes again).
Other disasters include Wayne Moody, again another Moody disappointing, Richard Smith who really did show he was a footy virgin, Phil Hall exceeded all expectations, Stu Jones despite no internet connection kept well on top of things and Tim McFarlane from across the Atlantic did very well in his first campaign.
Check out the initial preview on the website. The comments make very interesting reading now.
